Hi, I'm Janey . . .
I create Bespoke, Romantic Hair & Makeup.
My style is soft and undone for that perfect effortless luxe look.
I understand that no bride is like another and therefore every look is tailored to the individual meaning that every bride doesn't just look her best but also feels her best too.
How my Story began…
I was lucky enough to know as young as 12 that I wanted to do hair & makeup. You’d often find me trying to convince my mum and cousins to let me straighten, curl or plait their hair just for fun. So when I left school I went straight into a three year course at Sussex Downs College Lewes where I earned a Level 3 qualification in hairdressing, a level 3 in makeup and a level 2 in beauty therapy.
Alongside this I started working Saturdays in a local hair salon. I loved doing hair and makeup for brides and knew that's what I wanted to do full time so I attended an advance makeup class at the Brighton makeup school to refresh my skills before I started my bridal business full time in 2017.

I take part in an on going online education course to keep my skills up to date a fresh so I always know how to achieve the latest styles.
Working with a bride on her special day is the most amazing thing to be part of and I’m so grateful that I get to do this for a living. I can’t imagine ever doing anything else.
Behind the Scenes...

My boyfriend and I live in the West Sussex countryside with our British Bulldog Wilfred. When I’m not working you’ll find me at home with a cup of tea in one hand and a book in the other. I also like to take Wilfred on walks either in the woods or one of our local National Trust gardens. I love to spend time with friends and family and do so every chance I get.
